With categories and descriptions you will be able to improve your future search results. See the Section called Description & Category in Chapter 8.
Some of your categories could be "audio", "video", "images" ...
Categories and descriptions can be assigned to disks, directories, files (inside and outside VFS). This is done through the information window (open it with the contextual menu entry "Edit disk/directory/VFS/file")
Each catalog has its own list of categories. They are embedded inside the catalog file.This list maybe modified by clicking on the menu entry Catalog->Edit categories Modifications to categories are not able to be changed. Close the categories window with the "Close" button.
Add. Type the new category name and click on "OK" to add the new category to the list
Edit. Modify the category's name of the selected entry. When clicking on "OK", all disks, directories and files of this category are updated to show up the new name.
Delete. This will delete the selected category. Confirm clicking on "OK". The field category of all the disks, directories and files in this category are now empty
Import. Choose a catalog file to import categories from then click on "OK". Only the categories with a different name to those already in the current catalog will be imported.
Remove unused. The column Use of the category list displays the number of disks, directories or files in a category. Click on the Remove unused button to remove all the categories that are not referenced (There is a 0 in the Use column for such categories).
